2017 - What a year!!!

December 31, 2017

We’ve been going for a few years but this one has to be ranked up there as one of the best.

It’s been busy and we’ve been around, travelling the length and breath of the country, but its been an absolute blast and we have loved every minute of it.

Here’s our round up of 2017 - What a Year!

The start of the year can be quiet for a wedding band but not for us this year. With a large pool of pubs we play regularly and have residencies in, we are busy all year round, even outside the conventional ‘wedding season’.

This January was packed full of pub gigs at some of our favourite bars including, The Railway Tavern, MacSorley's, Owen's Bar and The Waverley.

As a busy function band we were also lucky enough to have a couple of parties booked this January including a 50th Party at South Dalziel Studios. What a night and what a venue with some top class home baking as well! Just ask our drummer Tom who has the sweetest tooth in the business. They don’t call him Tommy-10-sugars for nothing!

January also seen us make our first appearance at the West Park Showcase in Dundee which was fun to be involved in and a great way of getting more bookings for us!

We continued in the same vein in February with a full pub Diary.

February was notable for us playing one of our best regular Glasgow venues not once, not twice but 3 times in the same month.

We were lucky enough to be in Arta thrice in Feb and all 3 were fantastic as you would expect in one of Glasgow’s best and busiest venues!

February also seen us make a welcomed return to a place we’ve always loved to play, Clydebanks Finest, The Glenhead Tavern.

As always we had a great night and the place was rocking!

In March we were attended our first ever Primary School Jobs Fair! We were lucky enough to spend an afternoon at St Timothy’s Primary School along with some other amazing Companies, Businesses and Services.

This was a lot of fun to do and was great to see the kids taking an interest in what we do. Hopefully see some Wedding bands coming out of St Timothy’s very soon.

Amazing Staff and Pupils doing a fine job, an absolute Credit to their school!

As well as a month of weddings, March also seen us play play our annual St Patrick's gigs in Dumbarton, The Railway Tavern and O’Neill's (now Shenanigans) in Glasgow.

April was time for a new promo video! After some careful consideration Arta Glasgow was the venue we opted for. The Courtyard area is a stunning setting and we felt it would be a perfect backdrop for our video.

A date was set in between our busy April schedule of Gigs, Weddings and Functions and shooting commenced!

To say the video has been a success is most definitely an understatement. With 23.5k views already and counting we have been blown away with the response its had. You can watch the end result below.

Massive thanks to the staff at Arta for helping us out, one of the finest establishments in town!

With wedding season well underway, June was one of our best and busiest months ever!

Sometimes we are lucky enough to play at people we knows big days and it’s always an honour.

In June we were fortunate enough to play at our good friend’s Craig and Natasha’s wedding party and what a party it was!!!

June seen us doing a fair bit of travel not least heading up to Forres to celebrate with the new Mr & Mrs McIntosh at the beautiful Mosset Tavern.

We rounded off June at the beautiful House for an Art Lover in Glasgow to celebrate with Thomas and Amanda. Smashing Couple and smashing night. Thanks for having us guys!!!

Weddings, Weddings, Weddings in the summer and we played some absolute belters this July.

Calum and Nikki’s big day was certainly one of them! Absolutely fantastic night in Montrose.

As was David and Amanda’s wedding at the Popinjay Hotel. Weather was unbelievable for this one too. Great day all round!

As well as the hectic wedding schedule we also had a full pub diary in July as well as a couple of Parties, including Mr & Mrs Robert’s Silver Anniversary. Congratulations Guys!

We had never heard of the Golspie Gala, to be honest we hadn’t even heard of Golspie, but it safe to say we sure have now.

We played a lot of amazing gigs this year but honestly this one takes a bit of beating. We’ve never seen anything like. It was the closing Saturday of the week long event and this was the mother of all parties.

Absolutely Incredible!!! You can check out our day vlog from the gig below.
